The Child & Youth Advocacy Centre of Kelowna (CYAC) is delighted to announce that the winner of its 2026 Summer Car Raffle is Sandi Lyon of Penticton, BC!

Sandi has been waiting patiently to get behind the wheel of her new ride, a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Comfortline SUV. After receiving the exciting news of her win at the end of July, the Bald Range wildfire broke out in Summerland, closing Highway 97 South and delaying her plans to pick up the vehicle.

Exactly one month after receiving the news, Sandi was finally able to get behind the wheel. She and her husband are now looking forward to taking their new SUV on an upcoming road trip to Vancouver Island. “We had flights booked, but we’ve cancelled them!” said Sandi.

An annual tradition in celebration of the CSN Father’s Day Car Show in Kelowna City Park, this year’s raffle was an incredible success, raising over $60,000 for the CYAC. Since the SUV was generously donated by Lift Auto Group, who own and operate nine CSN locations in the BC Interior, all proceeds will directly support the CYAC’s work supporting children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect.

“We always say that you might win a car, but you will definitely make a difference for the children and families we serve,” said CYAC CEO Ginny Becker. “Every year, we are so moved by the support of our community. People like Sandi buy a ticket because they believe in the cause, never thinking they might actually win!”

Operating since 2020, the CYAC brings police, child protection, healthcare, mental health, and victim services together under one child-friendly roof to provide wraparound care for young survivors of abuse, as well as their siblings and safe caregivers. Last year alone, the CYAC supported 316 children. As a community- and grant-funded organization, fundraisers like the car raffle are vital to helping the CYAC continue providing this specialized, coordinated support to children and families in our community.

“Lift Auto Group is proud to be part of something that brings the community together for children and families who need support,” said Mark Reineking, President & CEO of Lift Auto Group. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many people get behind the Father’s Day Car Show and raffle year after year.”

Alongside Lift Auto Group, this year’s raffle was made possible by the generous sponsorship of: Acera Insurance, Akzo Nobel, BASF, Color Compass Corporation, Jim Pattison Lease, and Lawson Lundell LLP.
