Unstoppable Women in Conversation Launches in Kelowna

A new monthly gathering is coming to Kelowna this September, inviting women across the Okanagan to connect through conversation rather than conventional networking.

Unstoppable Women in Conversation (UWinC) launches September 30 at Sandhill Wines. Created by Liliane de Vries, founder of ALIVE with Liliane, the series is designed to create space for women to talk openly, listen to different perspectives and build meaningful connections around the experiences that shape their lives.

The concept moves away from some of the familiar elements of professional networking. There are no pitches, presentations or expectations to work the room. Instead, participants gather around tables for guided conversations centred on a different theme each month.

The goal is connection that goes beyond introductions and business cards — creating room for reflection, laughter and honest dialogue.

For de Vries, the monthly format is an important part of the experience. Each gathering will introduce a new theme and invite participants to explore it alongside women who may bring very different experiences and perspectives to the table.

The inaugural event will explore “The Unstoppable Woman at Her Best,” opening a conversation around what it means for women to feel and function at their best in their lives.

The launch comes as women across the Okanagan continue to find new ways to build community and connection, both professionally and personally. UWinC adds another option to that landscape — one focused less on what participants do and more on creating space for who they are and what they have to say.
