Students from Mount Boucherie Secondary School in West Kelowna will be walking for mental health on May 8.

The third annual Walk for Mental Health is raising funds for Foundry Kelowna, a free clinic assisting youth aged 12-24 and their families navigate mental health and substance use challenges.

Funds are raised through t-shirt sales and community donations. Over the past two years, the event has garnered $20,245 for youth mental health services.

The full-day event will include a guest presentation in the morning by former NHL goalie Corey Hirsch, followed by a five-kilometre walk and an afternoon of fun on the fields with games, music, food trucks, community vendors, face painting and more.

This year's fundraising goal is $15,000.
