Kelowna’s creative community is getting ready for another exciting season of Kelowna’s Top Talent, a live competition designed to spotlight undiscovered performers from across the city and give audiences a direct role in choosing the winner. According to the official event website, the 2026 competition is now open for submissions, with contestants competing for a $1,500 grand prize.
Positioned as a platform for “Kelowna’s greatest undiscovered talents,” the competition welcomes a wide range of performers and acts, offering local talent a chance to be seen, celebrated, and voted forward by the community. The format blends live performance with audience participation, creating an event that is as much about local entertainment as it is about community engagement.
For 2026, the live competition rounds are scheduled for April 10, 11, 18, and 25, with the final taking place on May 2, 2026. All events will be held at Revelry Food + Music Hub in downtown Kelowna, giving the series a lively venue in the heart of the city. The website notes that voting during the live competitions will help determine which contestants advance through the rounds and ultimately who takes home the top prize.
The competition is open to a broad range of participants. Individuals and group acts are both welcome, and the event is open to all ages, including minors. Contestants must first submit an application and performance content for consideration, after which a panel selects a limited number of performers to compete in the live preliminary rounds. Submission videos must be 3 minutes and 30 seconds or less, and accepted group winners would share the grand prize. The submission window closes on Friday, March 27, 2026.
The event is also building on momentum from its previous season. The official website highlights Gracie Field as the 2025 winner, with Benny Shredz and Lyla Donn named runners-up. In a featured quote on the site, Field shared that the winnings helped create new opportunities to record original music and reach a wider audience, offering a glimpse into the impact the platform can have on emerging artists.
Beyond the competition itself, Kelowna’s Top Talent taps into something bigger: the city’s appetite for discovering and championing homegrown talent. From singers and musicians to performers with completely different kinds of skill sets, the competition creates a stage for local creativity in all its forms while inviting the public to be part of the journey.
With submissions now open and live show dates already set, Kelowna’s Top Talent 2026 is shaping up to be another strong showcase of the city’s creativity, ambition, and entertainment scene. For aspiring contestants, it is a chance to step into the spotlight. For audiences, it is an opportunity to witness local talent in real time and help decide who rises to the top
